What does it feel like to fly a plane yourself?

I’m planning on going on an introductory flight on a Cesna150 soon. I was wondering like how bumpy it is or how difficult it was. I’m really nervous because I’ve been considering becoming a pilot for a long time but this is my first time on a small plane.

All I can say is allot will depend on your first time experience. Make sure that you pick a good clear day, with no wind gusts. It better to go, either early in the morning or in the evening, when the sun is not as hot, so that you don’t get thermal turbulence. Make sure your instructor tells you what to expect, so there are no surprises. Do expect to get some bumps, as light aircraft are not as stable as the large airliners. I’m sure you will get to handle the controls, and this will give you an insight as to what it’s like to fly the plane yourself. Every flight is a personal challenge, and the sense of satisfaction when you get a landing right is great.
